Invitation to Nishikigoi Specialist Training Course
Nishikigoi Seminar in Tokyo

　We are pleased to announce a hands-on training course aimed at fostering leaders in the promotion of Nishikigoi. Participants who complete the course will be awarded the title of “Nishikigoi Specialist” and receive a certificate.
Pre-registration is not required; however, please note that participation may be limited if the venue reaches capacity.

Eligibility

　Participants must meet the following conditions:

  1. Be a member or associate member of our association.
  2. Have at least 5 years of experience in Nishikigoi production or sales.

Program and Lecturers

Lecture Ⅰ: “The Jewel of the Water: Nishikigoi – Its History and Appeal”

Lecturer: Professor Yutaka Suga, Institute for Advanced Studies on Asia, The University of Tokyo

Lecture Ⅱ: “Aquaculture Biosecurity in Japan”

Lecturer: Kazumi Yoshinouchi, Director of Fisheries Safety, Fisheries and Aquatic Products Safety Division, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries

Certificate Issuance
　Participants who complete the course will be awarded the title of “Nishikigoi Specialist” and receive a certificate.

  • Validity: 3 years (automatically renewable)
  • Renewal Fee: 5,000 JPY (tax included)
  • Delivery: Certificates will be sent by post.

Fees

  • Participation Fee: To be borne by the participant.
  • Certificate Fee: 5,000 JPY (tax included)

Responsibilities of Nishikigoi Specialists

　As a certified Nishikigoi Care Specialist, you are expected to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  1. Display the certificate prominently at your workplace or shop.
  2. Serve as a consultation contact for Nishikigoi enthusiasts, offering proper guidance to promote Nishikigoi.
  3. Cooperate with requests from our association regarding information collection on infectious disease outbreaks.
